• Aids for lifting and carrying

Organisational measures:

• Work in pairs
  
  when animals are being treated
• Ensure emergency exits are available
• Clean the floors
• Use quality feed
  
  use dust-free feed with no mould
• Ventilate the stall
  
  ensure adequate ventilation
• Remove conspicuous animals from the group
• Dehorn animals when necessary
  
  keep genetically hornless animals

Personal measures:

• Appropriate protective gear
  
  wash safety shoes and work clothing separately from personal clothes
• Observe sanitary provisions
• Understand animal behaviour
  
  observe the animals' sense perception, course in safely handling cattle
